This façade is falling apart, I can feel it. Cracks are forming, walls are crumbling, how long more can I keep this up? The silence, it taunts me. Lures me in like how a butterfly would a child. And when I am in its chilling embrace, it devours me, inside out, ever so slowly.

Everything feels so surreal. College, friends, family. My innocence is being raped over and over again, bleeding me dry of my naivety. Cynical, doubtful, frustrated. I don't know, and I don't care enough to know. Its happening again, I'm withdrawing.

My thoughts are quiet. Its happening again.

Temper temper little one, hush now. Don't start those tears for there is no end to the beginning. Denial? Perhaps. It has kept me sane thus far. Sanity, such a relative term, it differs from person to person.

I like the silence, that's what scares me. The fact that I want to be destroyed. I am looking for trouble, hunting for it. Trouble tries to elude me, but I always find it, always.

I am tired, not of anything or anyone. I am just exhausted.

I want to love myself, but I don't know how.

People often say things and contradict themselves later on, myself included. Though this practice is common and many almost all of us are similar, we judge others and more often than not, shake our heads as though we're the rulers of the world. I do this too, and to the people I've done it to, whether you know it or not, I'm sorry.

This holier than thou behavior gets on my nerves and frankly it pisses me off, even though I myself submit to these disgusting thoughts. We shouldn't judge others because we don't know what its like being them, what they're going through. Sometimes I let my head run free and start thinking of an idealistic world where everyone is loved. -Anytime now I'll cue the rainbows and unicorns-

People are cynical these days and everything is dangerous now. Everyone thinks everyone else has an ulterior motive and sometimes I just wonder, isn't it tiring to doubt everyone's intentions 24/7? I'm rambling again but I must get this out. I am an emotional child and thank god I'm like that.

Some are surprised how I haven't done anything about my CV's and University Applications. Other than the fact that I'm lazy, I have other things on my mind.

I haven't given much thought about my future and what I want to be because I already know what I want to do.

I want to help people. I want to travel the world and meet people. I want to change lives. I want to make a difference.

Yes, I'm a walking tub of cliches. Yes I am a tub.

I don't know when I had this revelation but I've already decided to do something, whatever it is to help. Maybe I can't be a doctor, but I'll save lives nonetheless.

I already have my future in my head, and it looks pretty.

I wish for many things, one of which is more wishes to wish upon. Clever isn't it? Been working on this one since I was in primary school. Prep for when my Fairy Godmother/Father asks me.

I don't know about you but if I could have one wish, I'd wish for love.

The world could use some love right about now, some pure, untainted love.

Your other half isn't the only thing you should love.

I am a confused child.

This has never happened to me before. Lie.

I've always been adamant about going to the UK, what with the pompous, my horse is bigger than your horse mentality of mine.
Note : I do not keep horses as pets, I'm afraid of their behind.

But with my recent increase in movie watching/ song listening, I just don't know anymore.

Mission Log 14256378 : Dark Chocolate Crunch

Inspiration has hit me in the form of cookie crumbs splattered from the mouth of an 8 year old, and I think a teeny bit of inspiration made its way down my gastrointestinal tract, but I shall not divulge the details. Yes, I am merciful indeed.

It all started when the glutton in me became lonely. Armed with my power of persuasion, I recruited the rest of the fighters for a mission. Needless to say the teenager refused. I rolled my eyes about the same time she said the words fat, pig and no. I'm not sure what those words mean but they must have meant a lot to her.

So there we were, me and the 8 year old, crossing the treacherous waters(my house is home to many lizards who seem to favour the square of tile underneath the bigger fridge) to the magnificent block. With great force the latch was opened and cool air hit our faces. A green carton was retrieved and replaced within the minute. -FARMHOUSE FTW-

Within the next minute, a canister was opened and a white packet obtained. Upon examination, the parcel seemed safe. Only one way to find out. With lightning fast reflexes, the parcel was opened, and its contents revealed. The label said Dark Chocolate Crunch, and chocolatey and crunchy it was. The contents of the parcel was washed down with the liquid from the white carton.

I high 5-ed my comrade and together we returned to the lands above.

Mission accomplished, and the unsuspecting dwellers of the earth were saved.

When you experience something unpleasant, something you wish never happened, the easiest thing to do is to run and hide.

I'm sure there are countless of advice out there telling me to face my fears and whatnot, but i'm comfortable the way I am. I like burrowing myself underneath a swathe of warm blankets and not come out.

But something shook me out of my comfort zone. Something I never thought could happen to me, and I like it.

For the first time in awhile, I am genuinely happy!

So, thanks.

I don't know who I'm directing my thanks to, or why I'm publishing it to the world, but I guess I'm finally opening up, even for a little while.

It was worth it, even if only for a night.

Last night, I've successfully completed one chapter of Chemistry. This is an achievement of sorts and I fear that I might not be able to live up to it today. So to counter this, I googled "last minute studying" for some tips and pointers.

Google was most accommodating and gave me about 2,880,000 results (0.18 seconds). I clicked on the second result shown and hit gold.

According to Martin WozniewiczIf, the trick to last minute cramming is to do it in chunks.

The following are some of parts that caught my attention.

"If you are cramming the night before a test, you should go over the material several times in the way mentioned above, then when you think you have it all down, go to sleep. Get as much sleep as you can afford, then study again in the morning."

Make sure you don't steer off course during your studying, by avoiding common distractions like the computer or TV. Also, make sure you don't get distracted by friends, roommates, or phone calls, which can be prevented by simply switching off your cell phone if you have one.

The best way to study for tests is to start several days ~~or weeks~~ before the test, so try not to let yourself get into the cramming situation too often. Remember, the more you procrastinate, the more you will have to do later.

Its that time of the year again. The time of the year where you're either struck with apathy, or freak out like a chipmunk on caffeine. I'm experiencing the former.

.. and with my trusty pack, I've hiked up and down the stairs in search of a place where I can think and absorb all that knowledge stored in my (partially filled)Chemistry Notes. It has been 8 days since I started my endeavour and to no avail.

One thing though, I am positive of; My protons are electrophillic.

My maid has been with us for just over a year now. Even after all this time, she still can't differentiate between my clothes and my little brother's; He's 8 years old. She forgets where she puts things and makes the dumbest mistakes. To sum it all up, she is stupid, in every sense of the word.

She's stubborn too, she refuses to admit she doesn't know something, that is until voices are raised and faces flush red. She is horrible at cooking, quite unhygienic(with cooking utensils, not herself, she's quite clean), has zero common sense and likes to sing to herself a lot.

She's a tiny, chubby thing which makes it hard to get mad at her, yet we all do, because she is that dense.

Well this little bundle decided that she likes orange juice, and when a girl wants her orange juice, she gets it.

She took my sister's bike out and cycled to the nearby shop lots. Got down, left the bike there and went in the store to get her orange juice. She got her orange juice, and happily left the store. The bike was gone.

Two theories here,
Theory #1
The bike got stolen.

Theory #2
She misplaced the bike and thought it got stolen

So home came that my friend without the bicycle.
Tears flowed and questions were asked.

She relayed the incident the best she could in her broken English and it took me all my will power not to laugh out loud. You see, she is absolutely cute. Her face is round and her voice is squeaky, I've succumbed to temptation and hugged her a few times before.

So anyway, there she is, sobbing and telling her story.When the question came, why did you go out?

She bobbed into her room, retrieved the bottle of orange liquid and said in the most innocent voice, " I like to drink."

I think I felt my heart melt right then and there.

I usually get really irritated with her, she bleaches your new clothes, misplaces new items, spoils things, breaks stuff and ruins pretty much everything she comes into contact with, but today, I couldn't get mad at her.

I told her not to tell, and that I wouldn't either. Then she did the unthinkable.

She asked me to tell.
"Nevermind, tell sir."

There she stood, the little tub looking scared as hell, but yet, she wanted to tell the truth.

Had the roles been reversed, I think I would have begged for her not to tell.

I have new found respect for that girl now. She may lack common sense, but I look up to her.
This shows that just because you're educated, doesn't make you a good person.

I think its funny how people describe themselves. The terms they use and the way they judge themselves. I do it too, more often than not. I guess it can't be helped how we are. But I'm trying to say that is no one person can be described by a few terms.

I find that most of us contradict ourselves in this sense. Me saying that I'm optimistic would be a gross lie, since I'm negative most of the time. Despite that, I can't describe myself as a pessimist because I have my moments where I see the world as a happy place filled with ponies and fairy dust.

When I get into a deep conversation with some, we end up talking about our outlook on life and stuff like that. -Fascinating, I know- In the heat of the moment, you get carried away and start blurting out the first thing that comes to your mind without sifting it through beforehand. That's when blunders are made because you unintentionally let out a secret or say something you don't mean, but the secret part is for another post.

What I mean by "saying something you don't mean" is like saying "I think she has a hideously deformed nose.", eventhough its true, and that is your personal opinion, it doesn't really affect you since you don't judge or see the person by looking at her grotesque nose.

College life is awesome!

I have so much new found freedom it makes me giddy(with delight of course). Its not just the long breaks and the short lecture times, its the after college experience and meeting new people that gets me all hyped up.

I feel obliged to record this day down in history.

Today, on the 5th of February, I have worn a skirt to college, complete with wedges. -grins like a mad idiot-

Yes sir, I didn't wear sneakers and jeans today. It felt airy in comparison to my normal attire. After today, I won't be wearing a skirt to college in awhile. But it was definitely fun while it lasted. :D

Got introduced to churos today. All I can say is that I LOVE cinnamon!

I am a happy girl, can you see the rays of happiness radiating out of me? I'm so happy, I feel like warm butterscotch swishing around.

I will start off by saying,

CHIA SU-YEN, I OFFICIALLY MISS YOU, eventhough currently we're still in the same country.

I miss kindergarten. I miss snack time and nap time and where my only source of stress was not being able to colour within the lines. I miss watching Disney tapes in kindy and sitting around in a circle learning the proper ways to brush our teeth. I miss suku katas and stories with moral values in them. Most of all, I miss being naive, ignorance is bliss.

I'm turning eighteen sometime this year, a little sooner than some, a little later than others. Hitting the big one eight is an achievement of sorts, yet I don't feel like rejoicing. Instead, I have this heavy unsettling feeling in the pits of my tummy nagging me in ways you cannot imagine.

Looking at photos and sitting here reflecting makes me realize that there are so many things that I could have done better in my seventeen years of existence. I've done some really bad things in my life, not like murder or anything, but I have lied and I have hurt people's feelings.

Regret isn't in my vocabulary, I made it that way, but now I'm beginning to wonder if it should be.

Ponder ponder double blunder.

The worse always hits right before you drift off the dreamland.

Met up with Von and Emelia for lunch today. Of course loads of others came along but I shall not bother to mention them becaaaauusseeee, these two people are leaving for The Land Down Under soon and deserve the spotlight!

But before that, took a little detour to Taylor's Hartamas! Alyssa drove. :)

Screamed, giggled and then hugged loads of people. Then we left. I shall not dwell on their campus and how they don't have to walk uphill and downhill to their classes every day because that is completely irrelevant.

Emelia is darn cool fullstop.

I will go out with Von again before she leaves. I WILL.

MV after, played pool, improved ever so slightly.
Played so badly a bystander came to give us advice on how to hold the stick.

I love my titration results. Not the results per se, more like, the end product. I love methyl orange when its super duper acidified. The pink produced is pretty as hell. :D

The trick is, to add 4 drops of methyl orange instead of 3, I'm such a rebel, whoo!

College life, is hectic I suppose. Its definitely more stressful because I have to think of what to wear. To many this may seem like a mediocre excuse to be stressed but IT ISN'T. Not when you're chubbier than most of the stick skinny people there. I wish I was a crab, crabs don't get fat. All their cholesterol just goes into their roe. SIGH, I pity my un-crab-like life.

Today, I woke up at 6 something. I sat up, looked at the green display of my alarm clock and then rolled forward into a ball and fell asleep. 3 minutes later, I woke up to the beautiful melody of the toilet being flushed. Whoosh, and what a pretty sound it was. Then, I proceeded to the bathroom to pee. After I relieved myself, I took a quick, cold, boring shower and then came out dripping wet. While waiting for the water droplets to drop off me like good water droplets, I brushed my teeth. I brushed for an extra 5 minutes today partly because I am unsatisfied with the dire state of my teeth, and also because I was just, as you would call it, stoning. (...)

Am I childish? I'd like to think that I'm bubbly but at the same time really pretty, sexy, mature and demure.

I am 4 kg away from being at my ideal weight. But then again, the ideal weight would mean nothing if I still look bloated from every angle. So in lieu of recent discoveries, I shall modify my goal.

Today, I took a Rapid KL bus.

That was the highlight of the day, an achievement of sorts, rejoice with me at my brilliance. Its not everyday you come across a brilliant bus-taker such as myself. Simply brilliant.

I have used the word 'brilliant' more than twice in the short sentence above, I need another word.. Awesome.

Now you have to rejoice at the sheer awesomeness of my vocabulary.

As you can see, I've had a very eventful day, what with the bus and all.

It's that time of the year again(well, it was but I fell asleep, so here it is now), to recap on the events and happenings of 2009.

Due to the limited capacity in my brain, do not feel offended if I did not include any reference to you. I forget to wear my retainers sometimes, and its pretty important to me, and my teeth.

I'm not comparing you to my retainers, that was.. metaphoric.

Interact Club

I do love that club, it might be dorky, geeky and whatnot. And maybe nobody thinks its as great as I do, but I can honestly say that club and its quirky members made my two years worth it.

I'm gonna come right out and say it, I used to kinda hate 4P. Well not hate, per se, more like dread going to class. Maybe it was obvious, maybe not, but I didn't really like it 'cause I didn't feel, comfortable. Felt like a misfit honestly, but maybe that was my mind playing tricks on me. Well, time passed and now that I've finished Secondary, I kinda miss them. I guess that's how it is, you never know how much something means to you until you've lost it.

In this case, I know I won't miss it. I used to love my braces, I thought they were cool. Then, the dentist took them off, I felt, empty. I remember worrying that my teeth would all fall off the minute I bit something. After a few days of running my tongue over my teeth, I grew to love the way my tongue glided over my teeth without getting cut. When I took them off, I was free.

I do believe in God, and no I am not an atheist. However I feel that faith has nothing to do with religion and all that. Faith explains things where science can't, this may not be the right way to deal with things, but in times of desperation, sometimes, faith is all you've got. It may not have the most logical explanations whatnot, but it does do wonders. Faith keeps a person sane, it gets people through their toughest moments. It may not be right, it may not even exist, but take away faith, we are lost. Well most of us anyway. I believe in faith, because sometimes, its all I've got.

Reading all those books I bought.

Finishing my very own PORTFOLIO of nothingness.

Rolling from the bottom left to the top right corner of my parents' bed.

Exercising my way to a gorgeous bod.

Increasing my stamina.

Mastering the art of meditation.

Doing Yoga.

Cleaning my room.

Getting rid of old books.

Watching every season of So You Think You Can Dance over and over again.

Getting Gossip Girl(All Seasons).

Watching all movies that have been left in the drawer.

Brushing my teeth after every meal.

Packing my bags for China.

But I'm not. I'm here fixing the computer(blogging in the meantime)

I only have 26 days of holidays left. Take away the time I'll be freezing my butt off in China, that would be.. 19 days left. Then another few days in Ipoh and a few days in Penang. I would have a total of less than 11 days left! And out of those 11 days, there would probably be days where I just don't have time to do anything. That means, I effectively have a week of holidays left.

AHH. 

AND I HAVE NOT GOTTEN MY FORECAST RESULTS OR MY DEPOSIT BACK. Which means I have not registered for A-Levels in wherever.

I just finished watching The Orphan.

I think my vocabulary is hiding in a corner because all I can think of to describe the movie is good, and scary.

It was a good movie.

I got so scared, I turned on disney channel to seek comfort. I was greeted with Halloween Town, which isn't scary but after watching The Orphan, everything scares you. Then I switched to AXN and The Exorcism of Emily Rose was on. I dropped the remote and the batteries fell out. Hahaha, it was hilarious. My fingers were shaking when I was putting the batteries back. Then I switched to Cartoon Network, my saviour. I watched a little bit of Shaolin Showdown. Now, I shall tune in to NigaHiga. :)

I'm going on a thriller/scary/horror flick hiatus, won't be watching them scary shows for a long, long time.

According to Wikipedia,

The Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), or the Malaysian Certificate of Education, is a national examination taken by all fifth form students in Malaysia. It is set and examined by the Malaysian Examinations Syndicate (Lembaga Peperiksaan Malaysia).

The SPM is equivalent to the British GCSE, and provides the opportunity for Malaysians to continue their studies to pre-university level. Up to 1978, the examination was handled by UCLES, which still advises the Malaysian Examinations Syndicate on standards. The English paper is separately graded by the national examination board and UCLES, and both grades will be displayed on the statement slip. On the real certificate, only the national examination board's grade is listed. The minimum requirement to get a certificate is a pass in Malay.

Generally, the SPM is taken at the age of 17, though students who attended pre-secondary school class would take it at the age of 18. Students who successfully passed their Penilaian Tahap Satu (PTS) examination at Primary Three and chose to skip standard four would take their SPM a year earlier, at the age of 16. The PTS was introduced to Primary Three students in 1996 but was discontinued in 2000, (talk about being fickle-minded) due to controversies as it allows students from Primary Three to proceed directly to Primary Five at the next academic year without going through Primary Four. Students who are taught at home generally take the SPM at some point at the end of their secondary education as well.

As Malaysia is revolutionizing its education system, science and mathematics subjects are being tested in English. Other subjects are still being tested in Malay. Due to this, the SPM Papers for these science and mathematics subjects from 2003 up to 2006 have questions in both English and Malay. The first year to do the Science and Mathematics papers in English will be the students taking the November 2007 papers. In 2003, a new SPM subject, English for Science and Technology (EST)^[4] was introduced. It is an English test based on science and technology.^[5] Students set to take the English Science and Mathematics SPM papers in 2007 are still required to do this subject.

The minimum number of subjects that students have to sit for is 10. Students generally take 9 subjects, if they are in the Arts stream, or 10 subjects, if they are in the Science stream (after the introduction of EST in 2003). However, due to the competitive nature of receiving scholarships to further studies, there has been pressure to take as many subjects as possible. Previously, a maximum of 21 subjects was allowed to be taken, however, rules are now in place to make students pay for any sittings beyond the first 12 subjects of their choice.

The evaluation scheme is 100% exam-based. The examination for SPM usually takes place around early November and lasts for more than 3 weeks. There are also papers in June, but only for the compulsory subjects. There is no specific grading system for SPM and grades vary every year.

The results are officially released around early March or late February. Candidates who fail the Malay subject are required to retake the 2 Malay papers in July to enable them to get a certificate. The results of the exam are compiled and plotted into a normal distribution curve for analysis. Thus the grade limits fluctuate regularly and are generally lower than the above figures. Even normally mediocre pupils who do not do very well in school exams may rank highly in the SPM as the results are corrected. There is some thought that this may be due to candidates in rural areas being weaker and so, driving the standard down. The results are generally well publicized although the actual marks are not made known to the public. Candidates may ask the syndicate to remark their exam paper if they suspect the markers may be wrong for a fee. Although no list of rankings is released to the public, the names of the top ranked students in the country and in each state are released to the press. These students may achieve the level of temporary celebrities, and are approached by companies to advertise their products.^[6] Politicians usually visit some of these top ranked students a day before the official results in order to congratulate them. There is some controversy with the national rankings, where a string of straight 1As are preferred to a combination of 1As and 2As.^[7]

Because the SPM examination is the final nationally standardised examination taken by the majority of Malaysians, a lot of scholarships are awarded based on results. Generally, it is considered that the more A+'s you achieve, the better you are. Thus, there is pressure to take as many subjects as possible in order to secure a scholarship. This is especially true of non-bumiputera students, since the government allocates a certain amount of scholarships to bumiputera students. However, things are expected to change as the government decided to take action by limiting the number of subjects, which means students can only take maximum 12 subjects for free in SPM, which has now been put into effect. If a student wish to take more than 12 subjects, he/she has to pay for it and he/she cannot take more than 21 subjects in total.

Starting from 2010, a subject limit of 10 will be imposed on every SPM candidate.

By 2009, SPM will generates a new grade system and scheme, the grades are ranging from A+(which is a grade higher than previous 1A) to G(Gagal or 'Fail' in English'. The table below shows the comparison between previous grade system and the latest one.

Yesterday, some kind of aircrafts were flying back and forth, they sounded like they were INCHES away from my roof. I ran outside to look but couldn't see anything, thought there was something wrong with my ears. Went back in, and there it was again! That annoying sound of airplanes taking off except amplified a hundred times. Checked my ears, all clear. My sister heard it too.

She was already under the foldable mattress. How that was protection, I will never know.

Li-Wen's leaving for England this saturday. Can't say I'm going to miss him like hell, since we're not that close, but I'm definitely gonna miss the guy.

So five of us, him being the oldest went for lunch. Was planning some fancy farewell lunch but little brother holds most power, it's the cute factor.

We had lunch at McD's.

Four large McValue meals + Four sundaes = Four Coca-cola glasses ( all in bloody perky pink )

Ordered another medium set. So that was two big macs, one double cheese, one McChicken, a Filet-O-Fish and damn lot of fries.

Li-Wen stacked fries up to mini tower. Little brother finished Filet. Little brother followed Li-Wen in stacking fries but tower only reached two-stories. They engaged in some physical kid version of a fight. Li-Wen's tower of fries fell. Brother ate his fries. More physical stuff. Brother covered his mouth. Fountain of Filet-O-Fish, fries and coke poured onto table, shirt and floor. Chocolate Sundae was untouched. Cleaner lady asked us to clean the puke. I cleaned my little brother. He wanted to change. Dropped cousins home. We went home. He showered. I placed perky pink glass in glass cupboard.

I adore highlighters. Actually, I love stationary. I love love love love love love love pens and highlighters. If the world ever abolishes the writing system and change it to typing, know that I will be on the front lines with a giant marker pen, protesting.

I used to love g'soft pens, I still do, they're one of the better ball points, but alas, the ink runs out at the speed of light, and that's pretty damn fast.

I can kiss my straight A's goodbye. Yes, for some ridiculous reason, I actually dreamt that I got straight A's. I even pictured myself gloating about it when I was studying.

Trials were hard. I know some people said that the trials were okay, easy even. That's 'cause you studied(At this point, if you're gonna claim that you did in fact NOT study yet still found the paper easy, I hope you shut your mouth and fail miserably).

True, it is possible to get an A, provided you study hard. But what I'm trying to stress here is that trials are really important for some people, the results are used to apply for scholarships et cetera.

Most of the other schools make their trials easier for their students and their students have A's all over their forecast while we! We are covered head to toe with B's, C's, D's and yes, even E's.. If I could, I would take 'exams', slam it onto the cold hard marble floor, rub its face still a loud squeaking sound is produced, wham its nose until I hear multiple fractures, attach it by a rope to the end of my monster truck and drive it around town and maybe through some cow manure. Then when I have calmed down, I skin it, layer by layer, starting with the epidermis. I'll glaze it with honey retrieved fresh from the beehive and dig a hole and unleash an army of fire ants on it. After the ants are through, I will reward them for their hard work with a sugar cube. I might show some mercy and wash the remaining honey off. Either way, I'll rub it with salt to promote healing, but not too much salt because I intend to drop it into the dead sea where it will float and disintegrate. When it is nothing more than a pile of dribbling nonsense(which it is), I will throw it into the dustbin. Or burn it, depends on how I feel.

Poor cows, oh well, it's for the greater good. I like beef. :P

Day One

Today, I entered the gates of hell. It was an important moment in history because it signified the first of many bad, bad days. I wrote a formal letter to sound my disapproval and that's when I got a surprise, somethings just aren't that logical. I boarded the bus and ate oxidized apple slices. I then tried my best to believe in God but failed miserably. It's now 5:09, tomorrow this time, I will be 2/3 smarter than I am now.

I recommend Saturdays as your “Dieters Gone Wild” day. I am allowed to eat whatever I want on Saturdays, and I go out of my way to eat ice cream, Snickers, Take 5, and all of my other vices in excess. I make myself a little sick and don’t want to look at any of it for the rest of the week. Oh wow, ever since I caught a glimpse of that Britney Spears video on *BBC, I was like. WHOA. MUST WATCH FULL VID. But the thing is.. I didn't know what that song was called.

She was on BBC 'cause some people were offended by the obscenity of her lyrics.

SOOOOOO, I referred to it as the Britney-in-black-with-men-bobbing song. It all worked out pretty well, 'cept I could never find the full vid, what with youtube deleting all the music videos..

Pfft, copyrights. Go figure.

Anyway, I found it! Just.. two minutes ago. It is awesome. I'm telling you, even if you say you hate Britney, she gets shitload of attention.
